June Diane Raphael To Headline ‘Bewitched’-Inspired Comedy In Works At NBC, Teaming With ‘Dickinson’ Creator

NBC is developing Something Wicked, a multi-camera comedy from June Diane Raphael, who stars, and Alena Smith, an homage to the classic TV sitcom.

Bewitched, which originally aired on ABC from 1964-1972, starred Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha Stevens, a witch who marries an ordinary mortal man, played by Dick York. Probably best known for her work on Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, Raphael has recurred on Abbott Elementary and The Morning Show, along with Freeform’s Everything’s Trash, Black Monday and Big Mouth, among others. Smith was the creator, showrunner and executive producer of the Peabody Award-winning series Dickinson, which ran for three seasons on Apple TV+.
