Juliette Lewis Says Late Dad ‘Would Be So Proud’ of Her Film 'The Thicket'

Juliette Lewis thought about her father every day on the set of ‘The Thicket,’ her new film in which she plays the villain Cut Throat Bill

The series has a dual timeline where viewers follow a high school soccer team in the past as they survive a plane crash in the wilderness before catching up with them as adults more than two decades later. Geoffrey LewisKevin Winter/Getty Images The Thicket, set in the early 1900s, centers around Jack ( Levon Hawke), a boy in search of his sister ( Esmé Creed-Miles), kidnapped by Lewis’ Cut Throat Bill. Though playing Cut Throat Bill required Lewis to completely transform herself (not only her voice but “the walk, the clothes, everything”), she has found working in movies after two seasons on Showtime’s Yellowjackets to be a return to her comfort zone.
