Julia Garner recalled getting the offer to play a female Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: First Steps
“Ozark” Emmy winner Julia Garner is opening up about her introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this summer’s “ Fantastic Four: First Steps,” in which she plays the chrome, surfboard-riding Silver Surfer. She recalled meeting director Matt Shakman to talk about the movie at a restaurant in Burbank, but the conversation was so wide-ranging that she thought she’d be passed over for the job. She’s covered from head to toe in shiny silver and flies around on a cosmic surfboard, which means Garner had to do motion capture for the first time in her career.
