Some characters were seemingly pulled directly from the minds of fans, with Vanessa Kirby playing Sue Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach landing the coveted role of The Thing. However, other castings came far out of left field, such as Pedro Pascal landing the role of Reed Richards and Julia Garner playing Galactus’ herald Silver Surfer. The MCU is taking a different approach by having Garner play Shalla Bal, Norrin Radd’s true love for whom he became a herald in exchange for her protection.
