Judith Parker Harris, the CEO of Worldwide Entertainment Corporation who managed the legacy of "The Blob," died March 31 at 74.

Judith Parker Harris, Worldwide Entertainment Corporation ‘s president and CEO who oversaw the rights to horror classic “ The Blob,” died March 31 in Los Angeles. Her obituary describes her as “a respected and admired figure who navigated the complex world of the entertainment industry with sharp intellect and unwavering integrity.” Harris was actively involved in developing new projects at the time of death. While working at WEC, the production and distribution company behind the 1958 sci-fi movie “The Blob,” Harris managed a library of more than 30 feature films, including “Equinox,” “4D Man,” “The Astro-Zombies,” “Paradisio” and “Kill the Shogun.” She oversaw development for multiple remakes of “The Blob” and collaborated with her husband, “The Blob” producer Jack H. Harris, on the 1988 remake directed by Chuck Russell, which was released by Tri-Star.
