Judith Light to Receive Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Lifetime Achievement Award (EXCLUSIVE)


Tony and Emmy winner Judith Light will be honored alongside John Lithgow and Indira Varma at the Shakespeare Theatre Company's annual gala in April.

Light made her Broadway debut in 1975 in the revival of “A Doll’s House” and in 2001, she played the lead role in STC’s production of “Hedda Gabler,” directed by Michael Kahn. Her stellar resume of film and TV credits ranges from “Days of Our Lives” and “Who’s the Boss” to recent hits like Starz’ horror comedy “Shining Vale,” Searchlight’s “The Menu,” Netflix’s “Tick, Tick… Boom!,” the musical finale of Amazon’s “Transparent” and two installments of “American Crime Story” for FX. Performers for the evening — titled “All the World’s a Stage: Celebrating the US/UK Relationship” and emceed by The BBC’s Katty Kay — include D.C.-native Nova Y. Payton, West End star Scarlett Strallen and Tony nominee Jordan Donica (“Camelot”).
