#MeToo Activist Judith Godrèche To Bring Campaign To Cannes With World Premiere Of Short Film ‘Moi Aussi ’

The film, highlighting the stories of victims of sexual violence, will be screened during the Un Certain Regard opening ceremony in the Palais des Festivals’ Salle Debussy and as part of the free, public Cinéma de la Plage program on May 15. What do you do when you’re overwhelmed by what you hear, by the sheer volume of testimonies?” Reconstructing an intimate audio and visual landscape, she created a film in the form of a choral piece, made up of personal accounts told in fragments and she staged this bitter but life-saving journey, from wordless pain to the beginning of liberation through words, with some 1,000 people. Godrèche began her career in 1981 with Nadine Trintignant’s Next Summer, and has since gone on to play a host of roles in films by Sophie Fillières, Cédric Klapisch, Park Chan-wook, Olivier Assayas, Jerzy Skolimowski, François Ozon and Tonie Marshall.
