The ruling by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta came after a landmark trial last year in Washington, D.C. “This is a major victory to stop unchecked corporate power from stifling competition and controlling our data and privacy,” New York Attorney General Letitia James, who was part of the lawsuit along with other states and the Justice Department, wrote on X.
