Jim Bob and Michelle raised their children in a devout Baptist home, following strict guidelines that included dressing modestly and “courting” future spouses while accompanied by a chaperone on romantic outings. “We’d always talk about when we were dating that we weren’t gonna use their literature and stuff like that … Just kinda distanced ourselves,” she shared in a September 2023 YouTube video, adding that they choose to follow Jesus “alone” now.
