Journey Drummer Deen Castronovo Says His Kit Was ‘On Fire For 4 1/2 Songs’ During Electrical Blaze at RodeoHouston Gig

Journey drummer Deen Castronovo said he was 'on fire for 4 1/2 songs' during an on-stage electrical fire at the band's RodeoHouston Gig on March 14.

Journey fans were bummed when their favorite band had to hot-foot it off the stage on Friday (March 14) just five songs into their set at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at NRG Stadium. A short time later, the crowd was informed that the show would not go on and that everyone needed to evacuate due to what promoters said was an “unforeseen electrical incident under the stage area.” Over the weekend, Journey drummer Deen Castronovo posted on Instagram that the fire wasn’t just under the stage, but actually directly beneath his drum kit and that it raged for nearly the entire set.
