Like, we are all big nerds who were talking about the Council of Reed Richards and the Captain Britain Corps, and we’re like ‘That would be fun to do for Lois Lane!’ Just like a bunch of extremely aggressive A-type personalities coming together across the multiverse. So we hit upon this idea, and then I wrote that episode with Brendan, and we just had so much fun of being like ‘Okay, Parasite, yeah, here is a tech guy who is literally sucking the blood out of his company. This guy who’s put himself before everybody else.’ And then Brendan was like ‘What if there’s like a cage match with him and Superman?’ and I was like ‘Hell yeah!’ And, basically, working on that script together we kind of crafted Ivo.
