Josh Brolin Joins Edgar Wright’s ‘The Running Man’ in Villain Role Opposite Glen Powell


Josh Brolin is in final negotiations to star opposite Glen Powell in Paramount Pictures’ "The Running Man."

He will join previously announced cast members Katy O’Brian (“Love Lies Bleeding”) and Daniel Ezra (“All American”) in the action film from Edgar Wright. The story is set in a dystopian world where a falsely convicted policeman participates in a violent game show in order to earn money for his sick daughter. Brolin will next star in the third installment of the “Knives Out” series, “Wake Up Dead Man.” Previous credits include “Dune: Part Two” “True Grit,” “No Country for Old Men,” Ridley Scott’s “American Gangster,” Oliver Stone’s “W.,” Denis Villeneuve’s “Sicario,” Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Inherent Vice” and Marvel’s “Avengers” films.
