The actor’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday overlapped with his wife’s birthday, leaving them separated on different coasts. McCauley, who has been married to Gordon-Levitt for a decade, was serenaded from hundreds of miles away as her husband whipped out a guitar and performed Taylor Swift ‘s “Lover” at the end of his segment. Before that, during the Reputation era, pre- Lover, the singer and songwriter played a moving rendition of “New Year’s Day” in dedication to Fallon’s mother.
