Joseph Fiennes to Star in TV Adaptation of Football Play ‘Dear England’ as BBC Unveil Slew of New Dramas


The BBC has unveiled a slew of new dramas including a TV adaptation of 'Dear England,' Aimee Lou Wood's screenwriting debut and a co-pro with A24.

Director of BBC Drama Lindsay Salt revealed the 12-strong slate – which adds up to 66 hours of top TV – at a press event in London, U.K. on Wednesday evening. “The Listeners” “Vicky Christina Barcelona” star Rebecca Hall plays an English teacher coping with an unseen condition in this series from “Poor Things” producer Element Pictures. “We Go Again”(working title)“Sanditon” scribe Janice Okoh adapts her play “Three Birds” into a six-part series about three stubbornly optimistic siblings with a dark secret.
