Jordan North rescued from River Thames after star seen struggling in the water

Capital Breakfast host Jordan North has recalled the terrifying moment he was rescued from the River Thames after stepping into the water to help save a struggling dog

Recalling the terrifying incident on his Capital Breakfast show, Jordan said: “A big thank you and a massive shout out to RNLI Chiswick who came and rescued me because I was getting a bit panicky. Thames Commander Gavin Simmons and crew Sid Blake, Tom Coe and Cameron Crawley were able to get Jordan his the dog to safety just three minutes after the alarm was raised where they found them on a nearby float lift. “While we’d always encourage people to call 999 and ask for the Coastguard instead of entering the water themselves, we’re happy that in this instance we were able to help Jordan and the dog safely back to dry land.”
