JonBenét Ramsey Limited Series From MTV Entertainment Studios & 101 Studios Eyes Green Light
One of America's most famous unsolved murders, the 1996 killing of JonBenét Ramsey, is getting the true-crime limited scripted series treatment.
The yet untitled project details the mysterious death and the surrounding media frenzy in the murder of JonBenét Ramsey, a case that captivated an entire nation and left us with more questions than answers. In 2013, unsealed court documents revealed that a 1999 grand jury had recommended filing charges against the Ramseys, which included hindering the prosecution, but the DA determined there was insufficient evidence to pursue a successful indictment. Amazon MGM Studios is in production on Heads Of State, a movie staring John Cena and Idris Elba, which is based on a pitch by Query who co-wrote the script with Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec.
