Jonathan Majors’s Sentencing Postponed Until April

The Marvel actor appeared via video for the under-five-minute court proceeding.

Jonathan Majors ’s sentencing in his domestic-violence case was delayed until April 8, 2024, as the fallen Marvel star’s lawyers are pushing for the guilty verdict to be thrown out. “The case will not go forward with sentencing today because the defendant has filed, and I will make it a part of the court papers, a motion to set aside the verdict,” Judge Michael Gaffey said. While they were en route to their Chelsea apartment following an outing in Brooklyn, according to Jabbari’s testimony, she saw a text message on his phone that effectively said, “Wish I was kissing you right now,” an apparent allusion to a D’Angelo song.
