Jonathan Majors Admits to Strangling Ex-Girlfriend In Newly Unearthed Audio

Jonathan Majors admitted to strangling an ex-girlfriend in a previously unreleased audio recording obtained by Rolling Stone.

Some details of the dispute previously emerged during Majors’ criminal trial in late 2023, where he was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment following a different fight that took place in New York. But because a judge barred any previous instances of alleged physical abuse from the trial, only the aftermath of the September 2022 fight — Majors pleading with Jabbari to not go to the hospital and threatening to kill himself — were mentioned in court. The fighting continued over the next few days, with Majors admitting in a separate audio recording played at trial that he had a temper and that he expected Jabbari to hold herself to the standards of Coretta Scott King and Michelle Obama in order to support him.
