Jon Stewart told reporters at the Emmys that it "would be lovely" to have Trevor Noah back at The Daily Show and pondered the upcoming election
Stewart joined the rest of The Daily Show crew after their Outstanding Talk Series win at the 76th annual ceremony. He said that, while he’s grateful for all the talent on stage, he’s convinced they’re operating on borrowed time because “the understanding is some other producer who has more money than basic cable is going to say, ‘Oh, that person can do something great for us. If anything, Stewart adds that he’s hoping the country will start operating under a “no shooting policy,” in the wake of yet another apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
