Jon M. Chu Shares Britney Spears Biopic Update: “She’s Going To Be Very Involved”
Jon M. Chu is set to direct the Britney Spears biopic based on her 2023 memoir The Woman In Me.
“She’s going to be very involved,” Chu told Entertainment Tonight on the awards show’s red carpet. Universal Pictures snapped up the rights of the critically acclaimed #1 New York Times Bestseller, which Spears signed in 2022 in a book deal reportedly worth $15M. The audiobook, read by Michelle Williams with an introduction by Spears, is the fastest-selling in Simon & Schuster’s history.
