Jon Cryer says Andrew McCarthy was a ‘d---’ when they starred in 1985's ‘Pretty in Pink’ together: ‘We did not get along.’

Fellow Brat Pack alum Moore — who wasn’t in the film but starred opposite McCarthy in St. Elmo’s Fire — offered the sole dissenting opinion. To avoid any confusion, Cryer later expanded on his remarks in a Saturday X post, noting that McCarthy “was sitting two feet away when I said this,” and dismissing the idea that any hard feelings remain. "What I realize now, he wrote a terrific memoir called Brat, he was already struggling with alcoholism back when we were shooting that movie,” Cryer said.
