Gaga previously followed in Judy Garland's footsteps when she played the female lead in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, co-starring and directed by Bradley Cooper. At the end of the picture, the Joker is arrested and thrown in Arkham Asylum after he goes on late-night television, confesses to multiple murders and then shoots the host played by Robert De Niro dead on the air.
