Johnny Knoxville to Host ‘Fear Factor’ Reboot on Fox
Fox has chosen Johnny Knoxville as host for a reboot of the long-running reality stunt series 'Fear Factor'
Knoxville will host a revival on Fox of the popular competition program “ Fear Factor,” in which contestants would take on crazy assignments, such as jumping on to a moving vehicle or eating insects. “When you reimagine a series as legendary as ‘Fear Factor,’ you need a host who is the epitome of daring charisma and spectacle, and that’s Johnny Knoxville personified,” said Sharon Levy, Chief Executive Officer, Endemol Shine North America\, in a prepared statement. In an era when people make sexual entreaties on Tik Tok or suggest strange do-it-yourself guidance via YouTube, the fare seen on “Fear Factor” may no longer have the same power to appall.
