Buckner played the iconic character cheerleader Patty Simcox in the 1978 movie-musical that is still beloved by fans to this day, and those who love the film were quick to pay tribute to the late actor. On his own Instagram page, attached to a picture of Buckner, Travolta wrote: "Susan you made Greasee that much more special. This comes just over a year after Travolta paid tribute to his closest Grease co-star Olivia Newton-John, who died in 2022.
