The legendary actor joined Variety for an episode of “Know Their Lines” and confirmed he will be playing Albus Dumbledore in HBO’s upcoming “ Harry Potter ” series and also revealed he’ll be returning to “ Dexter ” as the Trinity Killer. The series, which will air on HBO and stream on Max, will dedicate an entire season of television to each book, allowing for a more in-depth exploration of the story than the films provided. In another reveal, Lithgow also spilled details about his unexpected return to “Dexter,” despite his character, the Trinity Killer, meeting his end in Season 4.
