John Leguizamo’s ‘The Green Veil’ Renewed for Time-Jumping Season 2 After Surprise Success on Indie Streamer ‘The Network’ (EXCLUSIVE)

John Leguizamo is on board to return for a second season of "The Green Veil," which has been renewed by new ad-supported streamer The Network.

According to the outlet, Leguizamo and the rest of the Season 1 cast will be back as the show picks up between 10 and 15 years later, “amidst the women’s rights movement and the occupation of Alcatraz by Native Americans in 1969.” Leguizamo executive produces along with Aram Rappaport, who launched The Network on April 30 as a home for “The Green Veil.” The show was paired with U.K. acquisition “Chivalry”; Rappaport’s plan for The Network is to premiere two shows at a time every quarter, ultimately releasing eight more series (including the second season of “Green Veil”) over the next 18 months. Irene Bedard and Melissa Tantaquidgeon Zobel (of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut) are co-executive producers and serve as creative and Native American consultants on the series.
