While John and Emily – who tied the knot in 2010 – have chosen to let their children lead relatively private lives, the A Quiet Place actor has never been shy when it comes to gushing about parenthood. After Violet was born, John revealed that Hazel was already an “amazing big sister” during a December 2020 interview. “We’ve had many conversations with our kids, first and foremost being that when we have to go away for work, there are some people who don’t geographically go away, but their parents’ jobs take them away till 8 p.m. or 10 p.m. or you go on business trips over the weekend,” he explained.
