The critics did not treat the subject lightly: one loudly proclaimed, “He didn’t do shit; quit lying.” Another warned, “You wait till Dems regain control…you and your ilk will pay the piper.” While the senator already has the doge shut down several government agencies and thousands of federal jobs, claiming $165 billion in savings so far, he’s still calling out for permanent spending reforms.
