John Goodman Says Bidding Farewell To ‘The Conners’ Is “Really Hard”: “A Great Place To Work”

More than 35 years later, John Goodman is saying goodbye to Dan Conner as 'The Conners' comes to an end.

With the two-part series finale of The Conners airing Wednesday at 8/7c on ABC, the Emmy winner said the seven-season revival has gone by “so fast” as he opened up about bidding farewell to the patriarchal character he originated on Roseanne in 1988. Although the updated series was renewed for another that year, Barr was terminated from the show for racially insensitive tweets. The Conners premiered as a spin-off in October 2018, focusing on the eponymous family in the wake of Roseanne’s death from an opioid overdose.
