John Early Announces Tour and ‘Now More Than Ever’ Album With Bonus Madonna, Aaliyah Covers (EXCLUSIVE)

John Early has announced a North American comedy tour and a 'Now More Than Ever' album with new covers of Madonna, Aaliyah and Dolly Parton.

On Sept. 13, the alt-comedy icon will release an album for his 2023 HBO comedy special “Now More Than Ever,” featuring bits on Apple’s “ask app not to track” button, the emptiness of millennial culture and anal sex — as well as cover songs performed with his fictional band the Lemon Squares. A press release describes “Now More Than Ever” as “Bette Midler at the Continental Baths, but instead of an audience of sexually liberated gay men, it’s a crowd full of people who recap Bravo shows for Vulture or do graphic design for Hims.” Early is best known for his roles in “Search Party” and the Emmy-nominated comedy special with Kate Berlant, “Would It Kill You to Laugh?” He’s also appeared on “The Afterparty,” “I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson” and “Life & Beth,” and he stars in Theda Hammel’s 2024 dramedy film “Stress Positions.” Oh, and he was in Taylor Swift’s music video for “Anti-Hero”!
