John Belushi Defends The Blues Brothers Concept In Newly Surfaced Interview


A 1979 interview with John Belushi is part of a new Audible documentary.

Soho Weekly News music critic Steve Bloom talked with Belushi about the backlash. “You see, there’s a long line of cases where white musicians play Black music and make money, while the Black musicians don’t make the money, supposedly,” Bloom said. Three years after the interview, Belushi died of an overdose at age 33.
