Responding to the tweet, well, hype, nostalgia, and plain chaos sort of sums it up in those comments. Steve Huffer came in with an indirect shot: “Not bad but never gonna top Gomer.” Ouch. Sergio Mena affirmed on that tweet, “Glad I wasn’t the only one who woke up singing it today,” while Mike Fetscher shared, “I had the same flag up down in Evansville.” Even WBDG Radio jumped in and quipped how allergy season has everyone in their feelings saying “‘Not a dry eye in the house…of course…it is allergy season.’ Classic.”
