Joe Russo is teasing the work behind Avengers: Doomsday and how Robert Downey Jr. prepares for his new role in the MCU.
Robert Downey Jr. is set to play Doctor DoomJesse Grant / Getty Images / Marvel Comics The Russo brothers are directing the next installment of Marvel’s Avengers and Downey is returning to the franchise, not as Iron Man, but as the Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom. “It’s a very intense process developing the character,” Joe Russo said in an interview on Entertainment Tonight. Downey’s return to the MCU was announced at Comic-Con last year where the actor would play Victor Von Doom in the next two Avengers movies set to be directed by the Russo brothers.
