Joe Biden’s New Spot Highlights “Convicted Criminal” Donald Trump As Part Of $50 Million Ad Buy; Both Campaigns Plan Pre-Debate Push

The Biden campaign spot is part of a pre-debate push.

The spot, “Character Matters,” will run on general market television and connected TV in all battleground states, and on national cable, according to the campaign. The ad, part of a push in advance of the June 27 debate, references not only Trump’s recent criminal conviction, but his civil cases, in which a jury found him liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll. The campaign also announced ad buys in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander, Black and Latino media, with “seven figure” purchases in “critical channels across television, radio, print, and online.”
