President Joe Biden on Thursday pledged a peaceful transfer of power back to Donald Trump, touted his accomplishments in office, and reassured supporters that “We’re going to be OK.” Speaking in the Rose Garden at the White House, Biden paid tribute to the workings of democracy and the fairness of American elections. Biden also emphasized the “historic” nature of his presidency, saying many of the effects of large-scale investment bills will only be felt in the next 10 years.
