Joe Biden Orders Independent National Security Review Of Trump Rally Shooting, Will Deliver Oval Office Address Tonight
The president also ordered a review of security measures at the Republican Convention.
Joe Biden said that he has ordered an independent review on national security at Donald Trump ‘s rally “to address exactly what happened” in the assassination attempt on the former president. The president said that Trump, as presumptive nominee, already was receiving a heightened level of security, “and I’ve been consistent in my direction of Secret Service to provide him with every resource capability and protective measures necessary to ensure his continued safety.” Biden also said that he had directed the head of the Secret Service to review all security measures for the Republican National Convention, scheduled to start on Monday.
