Joan Vassos Shares Update on Gerry Turner’s Cancer While Revealing They’re Still ‘Friends’
Joan Vassos shared an update on ex Gerry Turner's cancer, as well as the status of their relationship, revealing that they're 'friends' and he's 'all good.'
The Indiana native explained that his cancer diagnosis contributed to his divorce from ex Theresa Nist, whom he married in January 2024 after the two found love on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor. Gerry said he was diagnosed with Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia, a slow-growing form of bone marrow cancer that “begins in the white blood cells,” according to the Mayo Clinic. While Gerry was blindsided by the news, a source exclusively told Life & Style on January 1 that he had gotten “over the denial phase and [wants] to help others with this disease by sharing his experience.”
