Joan Baez was among the guests on the premiere episode of John Mulaney ’s Everybody’s Live show on Netflix, where the legendary singer-songwriter took aim at the current Trump administration. Noting how the talk show was live and uncensored, Baez told Mulaney, “You said I could say anything I want out here.” She then took advantage of the opportunity, adding, “We’re all here to be silly and have fun, and as long as we recognize the fact that our democracy is going up in flames…we’re being run by a bunch of really incompetent billionaires.” In addition to Baez, Wednesday’s debut episode of Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney also featured guests Michael Keaton, Fred Armisen, and personal finance columnist Jessica Roy, plus appearances by Tracy Morgan and Christopher Lloyd and a music performance by Cypress Hill alongside an orchestra.
