Jo-El Sonnier, Grammy-Winning Cajun & Country Singer-Songwriter, Dies at 77
Sonnier is known for hit country recordings including “No More One More Time” and “Tear Stained Letter.”
Sonnier passed away while on tour, Texas country music promoter Tracy Pitcox stated in a post on his Facebook account Sunday (Jan. 14). Actor Judge Reinhold ( Beverly Hills Cop, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Santa Clause films) starred in the music video for “Tear Stained Letter.” Jo-El Sonnieh, winner of best regional roots music album for 'The Legacy,' poses in the press room during The 57th Annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center on Feb. 8, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.
