JLS fans are just finding out band's name doesn't stand for what they thought

JLS have been a household name for 16 years, but some fans are only just realising what the boyband's name actually stands for - and it isn't what they thought it meant

JLS rose to fame after appearing on The X Factor 16 years ago, but many fans still don't know what the boy band's name stands for. The group, made up of Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes, and JB Gill, was initially signed with Tracklacers under the name UFO, which stood for Unique Famous Outrageous. Some fans have been left surprised by the revelation, with one commenting on X (formerly Twitter): "My whole world collapsed when I found out that JLS didn't in fact stand for "just love songs" like I thought it did in 2010."
