Jimmy Kimmel Dark Again Tonight as L.A. Wildfires Rage on

A new fire in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday night forced evacuation orders as far south as the Ovation Hollywood entertainment complex, which is across the street from the theater where Kimmel’s show is produced.

Tonight’s scheduled guests Timothée Chalamet, Fernanda Torres, and The Lumineers will presumably be re-booked on future episodes. With their West Coast counterparts out Wednesday night, the New York late-night shows each paid tribute to Los Angeles and its residents on their shows, with Colbert, Meyers, Fallon, and Desi Lydic urging viewers to contribute to the American Red Cross and other organizations on the ground in L.A. working to help victims of the fires. Jamie Lee Curtis, who home was threatened by the Palisades fire, made an emotional appearance with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night, telling the host “I’m literally just about to cry” as she sat down, and shared what she knew about the toll it had already taken on her community.
