The president proposed a “100 percent tariff” on foreign-produced films because he said the “movie industry in America is dying."

The president continued, “Therefore, I am authorizing the Department of Commerce, and the United States Trade Representative, to immediately begin the process of instituting a 100% Tariff on any and all Movies coming into our Country that are produced in Foreign Lands. The host noted that he wasn’t joking, as Voight — one of Trump’s “special ambassadors” to Hollywood — revealed earlier Monday that he seemingly had a plan to bring more production back to the U.S. Following Trump’s initial post on Truth Social, the White House clarified in a statement on Monday that “no final decisions on foreign film tariffs have been made” but that “the administration is exploring all options” with an intent on “Making Hollywood Great Again.”
