Whether it’s a “Miami Vice” cop spoof, a Kentucky Derby sketch or having celebrities such as Mick Jagger or Cher in a deep freezer to share some secrets, Hanson and Wolensky help push things along. The audience experience is what matters most to Fallon, and that means doing things like turning the sets around during commercial breaks to give those in the studio a look. They needed to tell the story that Fallon and his guest were in a freezer, so Hanson and Wolensky brought in the special effects department to add water vapor to make the set look cold.
