Jimmy Carr says being cancelled made him 'a better person' but predicts it 'won't be the last time' as he insists he'll never apologise for his comedy: 'Jokes are like magnets, they attract some people and repel others'
The comedian, 51, has found himself embroiled in controversy several times over the years, previously admitting he was 'a dab hand at [being cancelled] now.'
Jimmy Carr has opened up about being cancelled and revealed he thinks it will happen again, but insisted he won't start apologizing for jokes because it leads to 'a world of pain.' But he admitted that the experiences have made him a 'better person' and also showed him who his real friends were, citing fellow comedians James Corden and the late Sean Lock as supportive pals. In 2012, he hit the headlines and faced huge public ire after it was revealed he'd been using a complex scheme to avoid paying tax, with the then Prime Minister David Cameron branding his behaviour ‘morally wrong’ (Jimmy pictured in 2012)
