Sports analyst Kevin O’Connor posted the numbers: “Butler is averaging only 21 points inefficiently in the last 11 elimination games.” The Heat have lost eight times in such instances, plus winning thrice whenever the stakes were carved on his favor; Butler’s last genuinely stomping playoff moment was more than two years ago against the Bucks. A worse loss in the first round throws a somewhat uncertain offseason ahead for the Warriors, whilst Butler and Heat have to think about the possibilities whether the aging star still has enough in him to build around.
