Jimmie Allen Admits He Considered Suicide Amid Sexual Assault Lawsuit

The “Good Times Roll” singer opened up about how getting a text from his friend helped get him through the difficult time when he was accused of sexual assault.

Shortly after the filing, the country singer had released a statement, denying the allegations, saying that the relationship had been consensual. “For the longest time, in my head, I remember thinking, ‘As long as I’m providing for my wife and my children, I have the freedom to do whatever I want.’ That’s not the right mentality. While suicidal thoughts continued for some time, Jimmie admitted that with the help of therapy and mental health treatment, he’s turned things around, and he said that taking a step back “saved my life” in the long run.
