Jim Carrey Says ‘The Mask’ Sequel Has to Be the ‘Right Idea’ and ‘Not About the Money’; He’s Unlikely to Retire From Acting but Enjoys ‘Power-Resting’

Jim Carrey said he was retiring from acting, but now he's clarifying by saying he just needs a power-rest every once in awhile.

Jim Carrey recently expressed interest in reprising the Grinch, but what about some of his other iconic characters? The comedian was recently asked by ComicBook.com about making a sequel to “ The Mask,” his 2004 comedy that introduced the world to Cameron Diaz and became a blockbuster with $351 million at the worldwide box office. As for the Grinch, Carrey told ComicBook in a separate interview that he’d return to his iconic Christmas role “if we could figure out” a way to do it that does not require him to sit in the makeup chair for hours on end.
