Jessie J Played a Show Right After 5 Breast Biopsies: ‘I Didn’t Want to Cancel’

Jessie J used humor to cope with her early breast cancer diagnosis, performing after having five breast biopsies.

The singer posted a video of her onstage at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club from back in April, where she played several stripped-back versions of her songs and took her time to crack jokes about her breasts, despite what she was going through behind the scenes. That’s good,” she said, later adding: “I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball [on June 15] to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.” On her Instagram Stories, the singer said she had been holding onto the cancer news for nine weeks, admitting she needed “to process it and talk about it.”
