Jessica Simpson opened up about having the support of ex Eric Johnson and their kids to work on her new music project in Nashville

Simpson, 44, took to Instagram on Monday, December 16, to share a sultry photo of herself leaning back in a chair in a room filled with recording equipment. While playing her daughter’s birthday song of choice, Jessica said she “saw the light” to record her upcoming EP, Nashville Canyon, Part 1, in Tennessee. Another source later told Us that “trust issues caused by the breakdown of their marriage,” adding that while Jessica is “sad” about the split, she “knows she had to make a tough decision.”
