Jessica Simpson admits Eric Johnson split is 'deepest heartbreak of my life' as she vents to sister before 'revenge album' release

The fashion designer was venting to younger sister Ashlee Simpson Ross for The Cut cover story. Last year the artist separated from her husband Eric Johnson and now she is coming out with an album.

The couple hasn't been spotted together since Birdie's kindergarten graduation back in June 7, and Jessica's Instagram has been conspicuously Eric-free since their Easter celebration on April 9. Simpson previously explained how her children Maxwell 'Maxi' Drew, 12, Ace Knute, 11, and 5-year-old Birdie Mae, whom she shares with Johnson, inspired her to return to performing The Dukes of Hazzard actress noted that her kids have 'never seen' her perform live, explaining Maxwell saw her first concert with Kim Kardashian's daughter North West.
